Ergonomics-Related and Work-Related Musculoskeletal Disorders in A High-Hazard Factory in Hatay Region

Objectives: The most common work-related diseases are musculoskeletal system disease. This study aims to determine the prevalence of disorders (WMSDs) in a high-hazard factory and sociodemographic, occupational, ergonomic risks. Methods: research is cross-sectional was conducted factory, Hatay, 2017. population all employees (N=190), it aimed reach whole population. Of (97.3%), 185 participated study. Anthropometric measurements, Cornell Musculoskeletal Discomfort Scale, observation-based Rapid Upper Limb Assessment (RULA) Ergonomic Risk Analysis questionnaire developed by researchers used for data collection. In statistical analyses p<0,05was accepted as significant. Results According frequency WMSDs 58.9%. were lumbar region (34.1%). RULA 31.9% had 3rd 4th-degree risk. There linear relationships between Waist Score each three scores (p<0.001). risk factors presence chronic disease (OR=5.35), hand tool use (OR=2.63), not having work accident (OR=0.04) (OR=1.61), Conclusion: Approximately one-third high existed more than half employees.
